The Twitter Hash Tag: What Is It and How Do You Use It?

A hash tag is simply a way for people to search for tweets that have a common topic. For example, if you search on #LOST (or #Lost or #lost, because it's not case-sensitive), you'll get a list of tweets related to the TV show. What you won't get are tweets that say "I lost my wallet yesterday" because "lost" isn't preceded by the hash tag.

White Hat, Black Hat, and Gray Hat

In SEO principles, there is black hat, white hat and gray hat.

White Hat

Treat the search engines as friendly "partners". They learn and follow all the rules in order to build consistently good results with the organic search rankings. White "hatters" are known for their hard word, tenacity and professionalism.

Black Hat

Using a variety of tricks to fool the search engines' algorithms into ranking them well. since Google constantly monitoring all SEO principles you may be banned by google if  you choose to use black hat SEO .

Black hat practices

Use cloaking - give the search engines different information than human visitors actually see
Keyword spamming - use keyword "stuffing" and avoid longtail keywords in proper content
Doorway pages - website page that use targeted keywords but are not related to rest of website content
Redirects - doorway pages to redirect users to a homepage that is not related to the content searched for
Copyright Infringement - publishing copyrighted website material (could be a legal issue)
Interlinking - creating "fake websites" that link to each other to build link grade
Link spamming - using some sort of automated link spamming robots
Hidden content - an older strategy to hide unrelated keywords in the content

Gray Hat

It's a tricks some one believes not fooling the search engines. but not a proper way.

Gray hat practices

Use cloaking in more legitimate ways.- Example: Many IMG ALT tags for image based website
Use of paid Links or link exchanges - links purchased for ads are okay, others uses not okay
Duplicate content - you duplicate content from page to page including META tags
Article spinning:- It works by rewriting existing articles, or parts of articles, and publish it again.
Keyword stuffing - breaking the "best keyword use practices"

What is Organic Search results?

In search engines the results shown which are relevant to search terms are called organic(natural) results. The results which shown because of payed ( Ex: pay per click) are called non-organic search results.In Google top and side we can see non-organic results.

Check Your Presence in Google's Index

The Total Index - To find out how many of your pages are present in Google's Total Index, search the following on Google:   site:yourdomainname.com

In the smaller text below the search box, and above the search results, Google will report the number of pages in the Total Index (primary plus supplemental).  You should know how many total pages are in your site.  If the number of pages in Google's total index is substantially lower than the total number of pages in your site… you have some work to do.

The Primary Index - To find out how many pages are in the primary index, search the following on Google:  site:yourdomainname.com/*         The number of pages reported are the number of pages in the primary index.  Google considers these to be the best candidates in your site for ranking on popular phrases.   If the ratio of pages in the primary index to pages in the total index is under 10%, then you have a serious problem.  Ideally with some good work, you can get the ratio north of 30% or even 40%.

The Supplemental Index - To find the number of pages in the supplemental index, simply subtract the number of pages in the Primary Index, from the number of pages in the Total Index.
